*dies* This is finally done! Hooray!

Okay so... how does this originate? Well... this is part of the Christmas (yes you read it correctly, Christmas ) girf art stuff that was MEANT to be doen by Christmas... only I suddnly had an artists block and found I oculdn't draw. And even when I could draw again I was finding it difficult to draw for other people... so a lot of art was put on serious hiatus. But now I have done Brett's! I was trying to think want to draw and I know he likes Rikku from FF X so I became a genius for the space of a second and thought "I'll draw Rikku for Brett".

And it was around that time I didcovered that I seriously dislike drawing fan art... I just totally butcher the characters. This isn't the first attempt at drawing Rikku... but it never cmae out okay. There was one which was going okay for a while but at one point the colours went all wrong and it was ripped at the top (you know on normal paper when you're rubbing out it can suddnly crease up? Well that doesn't happen at all with a sketch book... but it can rip =0). But anyway, I was working on that and thought to myself "i can do much better than this", considering I started drawing in february.... well most people say I've improved xD So I re-did it.

Her outfits not 100% correct... but on EVER reference picture it was different so I eventually just did my own version with my own little bits. I did originally do her FF X-2 outfit... but then I discovered that I CANNOT draw boobs xD On this picture though, her outfit was actually quite fun to draw... at least it's fairly interesting And I'm fairly happy with her face... at least it looks like her (sort of).

I'll explain the pineapple now... well I don't really like FFX very much (sorry )so I haven't got very far. But I remember Rikku's overdrive was Mix and this one time I mixed a couple of things together and I ended up with a... Pineapple... that completely destroyed all the enemies. Uhm... lol? And I remembered it as I was drawing so I decided to add it. Oh and the face... well I was reading Black Cat and on the grenades, Train draws cute cat faces on them and it seemed like the kind of thing Rikku would do (and the enemies would wait patiently for her to finish, of course) so I drew it on.

Although... why is she throwing it at herself?

Sorry for the wait D= I hope you still like Rikku and stuff and you don't mind strangely cute pineapples that actually blow you up (seriously, that thing is EVIL!) and random bubbles xD Thank you for being a lovely friend Brett and I hope this piece can show you my appreciation (lol posh are we?) of your friendship

Art Comments: I have uploaded fan art? Am I even Beth? LOL, but yes here is a fan art which I personally believe has not being completely destroyed by my fail tastic drawing xD I spent most of the time colouring actually... I could see a poor look coming if I rushed it so I took a really long time on it. I also spent a long time on her pose... since she's showing more skin than most of the charatcers I draw xD The bubbles got boring after a bit but it made the picture seem less... dull? And I didn't fancy doing a background (thought it'd take your eyes of Rikku to much). The pineapple isn't brilliant but the references I had (which I discovered AFTER I printed them were AWFUL). I experimented with more nib sizes on this one (I genrally use: 0.3 for outline, 0.2 for inner outlines, and 0.1 for small details) by using a whole range of sizes... and it worked I think. I may do that more often.
